First day on the job
Loaded an OS on my work comp- had fun trying to load the video/graphics driver and after the 3rd or 4th try it finally worked… then I got to read off of a computer screen for the next 2/3 of my day :P
learned my project won’t start for reals till next week.. so for now i get to read up on stuff i don’t quite understand and burn my eyes out (and my mentor sits right behind me...

This intern short-course is killing me!
Tomorrow should be interesting, and I look forward to going to all the telescopes on the crater. The last 3 days have been kinda bad, and the 2 before that— miserable.

Update on: A quarter of my face is numb :P
Went to the dentist today for a filling… they numbed me twice before starting work cause the left side of m face has always been super sensitive. Halfway through the tooth torture my nerves started screaming and they had to numb me up a third time. My teeth were still sensitive but it was bearable at that point.
Now, 4hours later, a quarter of my face is still numb… it’s numbed up my jaw...
